The story so far...

CG Meetings are an exciting, integral part of City Harvest Church. As we grow larger in through our Services, we want to grow smaller through CGs so that every member’s needs are met..

N450 is part of the ET ZONE family which was birthed on 01/11/2008.
Ever since our 1st meet up, we regularly hang out together especially by meeting up on every Saturday.

Darren's 23rd Birthday

This is my very first time blogging for N450! Haha, it kind of excites me in a way :)

Today, was Darren 大人‘s 23rd Birthday. We actually wanted to celebrated it for him after service, but he couldn't make it for de-brief, but we had no choice but to celebrate it at Kopitiam located at Bras Basah Road. Darren, you should have seen your face when we started singing the Birthday song. It was classic! Pity we didn't capture in on camera, haha. Anyway, we all had to sing "God's blessing you now" very softly because we were in a public place, and we weren't able to pray for Darren. So fellow members, do pray for him tonight all right?

We had many funny moments today during fellowship. The food turned out to be 'extremely delicious'. My Dumpling Noodle soup tasted like starch water. 'Delicious' I tell you. Oh, Celina, our new member, had 'plain' rice for chicken rice. Torance had 'mushroom cabbage soup' for his fish dish thingy. The lemon sauce for Celina's  lemon chicken rice was 'so thick'. And Anna's rice had 'a lot of salt' in it (get the sarcasm guys). So, it was indeed a 'fantastic lunch'.

Oh, we played Seven Up, which is partially called the 'Anti-Social Game'. So, who had to do the forfeit in the end? CELINA!!! We made her sing 'Ponyo Ponyo' outside Kopitiam. I have the video of it :) So if any of you want to watch it, you can just look for me! Oh, and I became a masseuse today. I helped Darren, Torance, Kenneth, Richard and Evonne massage their backs and necks. I can bet my arms will be aching tomorrow. But what's good is that they love massage. Next time you guys want me to massage, I'm gonna have to charge!!

All in all, today was a very humurous day. I'm glad that God brought us together to enjoy a Sunday afternoon together :)

The N450 DNA

The N450 quirks, how many of these can you identify with?

1.Because We Love To Tell Each Other Stuff

The golden rule of relationships is Communication. It is no wonder that we are so closely knitted as a family in N450. Why? When we hang out together, we just can't get enough of sharing with people sitting beside us what happened during the week! No,we aren't gossiping! We start off every CG telling the person seated on the left "Welcome to CELL GROUP MEETING!", every praise and worship telling the person on our right "Let's praise God together!", and throughout the sermon, our encouraging CG leader constantly helps us to remind the pointers to the people around us. Maybe some have thought it was a ploy to keep us awake during the sermon, but it has been proven otherwise. We just love to communicate, cos we know the golden rule. Now, SMS someone you know... "Communication is the key."

2. Because everybody knows it when it is your birthday!

It's not only the people in the Cellgroup, not only everyone in the ET zone but the whole World!!! We really love each other so much that we want everyone to join in with the celebration. We sing their birthday song at the top of our voices at EXPO Hall 8. Topping it off, we make them carry huge balloons and gigantic cards shouting out "Today is my birthday", as they walk down the streets, where we hang out after service attracting massive attention! Birthdays are just so fun!! Yeah man!

3. Because we are a responsible CG

We believe that we are capable enough to handle our own CG. We get our own food. Do our own song sheets. Housekeepers to the guitarists, every single thing is OWNED!! We don't need the know-it-all adults to run things for us. And whilst we are on the topic of adults, we have to admit that some of our members may look a little old (no names shall be mentioned,) but they are young...at least at heart. HAHA!

4.Because we are good-looking

That's how we describe ourselves. We have Bible believing and beautiful gals ,just like queen Esther.Leaving girls of all ages breathless, the friendly and superman- looking guys who are the modern day David and Joseph. Not convincing enough? You gotta see it for yourself!!

5. Because we share strange habits

We "share cab" to church services. We can talk for the longest time about every other thing on earth on our way to church. We walk (or even run) to reserve seats for the whole CG! We can suddenly stop for the longest hour at some random place and start to chat while waiting for someone. We scream "Woooooooo!" in our excitement to respond!! We punctuate our prayers with "God" and "Lord". Do you need a better explaination? Ordinary people with extaordinary great dreams for Daddy God!! We are N450!!
